Second book made with the Cinch

In our first experiment with the new Cinch binding system, we punched two sets of two holes to make this  layered sample book. This is something that you could not do with any other binding machine on the market! Punching and binding the two pairs of holes worked beautifully -- and in the process, we made another GREAT discovery. The holes punched by the Cinch are perfect for 1/4" eyelets, which can strengthen and jazz  up a cover.

I kept stuffing more pages into the book, so I had to go to a larger wire. This one uses the red 1" wire.  Work in progress... If I keep adding to it, I'll need the 1-1/4" wire next.

Both machines punch two holes per inch (2:1 pitch). The Cinch punches 6 inches of round holes at once.  The Bind-it-All punches 3 inches of rectangular holes at once.

Our binding wires are 11" long, with a 2:1 pitch.  A 2:1 pitch means that the wires are made to be used with a hole-punch pattern of 2 holes per inch.  Pitch is important, because if the pitch of the wire does not match the pitch of the holes, then the wire will not fit well in the book.  Diameters below refer to the size of the wire when closed around the book.

For 12" projects, you will center the holes. leaving 1/2" of un-punched space at the top and bottom of the project. 

The wire we carry is the standard 11" length and is packaged in 50-piece  boxes. Because we sell the standard length wire in its original, standard packaging, it costs much less than it would cost in special-order lengths or in custom packaging.  Our smallest diameter wires start at 38 cents per wire!

Why are our wires so inexpensive? We buy our binding wires from major manufacturers that supply binding wires to other commercial enterprises. These are the same wires used to make the wire-bound books that are available on the commercial market -- the same binding wires used to manufacture the wire-bound books sold in stationery stores and scrapbook stores.

Important:  Metal binding wires and plastic spiral coils are NOT interchangeable. If you have a RubiCoil machine or other plastic spiral coil binding machine, these metal binding wires will not work with your coil binding machine.  These metal wires are designed for use with wire binding machines such as the The Cinch from We R Memory Keepers, and Bind-it-All and OffiWire binding machines.
