The Genesis Paper Trimmer

Genesis cutter wheel

Genesis Trimmers use a unique gear-driven rotary cutting system.  Genesis cutter wheels stay sharp for an extraordinarily long time, but after years of use (or constant daily use over time), the sharpened edge will begin to wear away.   When cuts are no longer crisp and even, it is time to replace the cutter wheel. Replacement cutter wheels come with the brass gear attached. You'll  need an Allen wrench to remove the old cutter wheel and install the new one.

Genesis carriage assembly

Companies and individuals who use Genesis Trimmers five days a week, 52 weeks a year, may eventually need to replace a trimmer's cutter wheel, idler gear and/or nylon bearing.  The Genesis carriage assembly includes all of these essential parts already assembled by expert Genesis technicians and tested by quality control.  To replace the carriage, you'll just unscrew the ends of the slide bar, slide the old carriage off,  slide the new one on and re-attach the original handle.  The installation process is simple, quick and foolproof -- and the result is almost like getting a brand new trimmer!

A new Genesis carriage assembly replaces 10 essential trimmer parts at once, including the carriage itself, the cutter wheel, gear, bushing and axle; idler gear and screw; nylon bearing; and a new washer and nut for the handle. (Handles are available separately.)

Genesis carriage assembly: $54.00

Genesis Trimmer News

News for Genesis Trimmer Customers

Quick Links...

Dear Genesis customer:

After building the critically acclaimed Genesis Paper Trimmer for more than 30 years, the owners of Genesis decided to retire in 2007.  I am proud to announce that my company, Bonnie's Best Art Tools, has purchased the company.  We have sold Genesis trimmer products and maintained the Genesis trimmer web site since 1998, and we will now manufacture Genesis trimmers as well.

The Genesis manufacturing plant and equipment was relocated to Georgia this summer. We will spend the next few months moving and setting up the machinery, hiring and training qualified workers, and establishing production in the new location.  Fulfillment of Genesis trimmer orders will begin again after workers are trained, steel and aluminum parts have been fabricated, and quality control standards met.
Our goal is to maintain the quality and precision that make Genesis trimmers such sought-after tools.  Because of the complexity of this product, and the stringent quality control process, it will take time to get the first trimmers produced and ready to ship.

When
the new facility begins to ship finished, tested trimmers, Genesis trimmer orders in the order queue will continue to be filled chronologically.  If you have an order on the waiting list, we will contact you by telephone when your order is near the top of the queue.

During this transition, we will temporarily stop accepting new trimmer orders and will focus on producing Genesis trimmers to fulfill orders already in the order queue.  We will accept new orders again at a later date.

We are very excited about this venture and we hope you will be pleased that the Genesis tradition of quality will continue.

If you have questions or concerns about this transition, please contact us via e-mail.  Because of the huge number of customers on the waiting list, we will not be able to answer Genesis inquiries by telephone.  If you will send e-mail inquiries to bonnie@genesistrimmer.com, we will respond as quickly as we can.

We know that you will understand that because of this massive transition, we still will not be able to predict ship dates for Genesis orders.
Since most of you on the waiting list have seen or used a Genesis trimmer before, I know you realize that this extraordinary product will be worth the wait.

We hope you will visit the Bonnie's Best Art Tools web site when you are in search of high-quality tools for your art projects.
We appreciate your enthusiasm about our products and your support of our new endeavor!
Sincerely,

Bonnie Boyle
